Q: Does Cyrus International handle personal effects?

A: We do not handle personal effects. This is a specialised area and we recommend that you go to a specialist for this service.

Q: I’m looking to import commercially for the first time, what should I be aware of?

A: NZ Customs will require you to apply for a Client code which is unique to your business. We will work closely with you to ensure both your business and your overseas supplier are recognised and approved to import by NZ Customs prior to arrival so that there are no delays to release/deliver your cargo.

Q: My shipments are being held due to a biosecurity risk and I don’t know what to do next, can you assist me to release the cargo?

A: We work with MPI to meet their biosecurity requirements on inbound shipments from all over the world and can arrange any required treatments on your behalf, in order to release your shipment as promptly as possible.

Q: I am arranging a shipment to come to New Zealand, do I need insurance to ship internationally?

A: While not required it is always recommended you insure your goods. We can help arrange this on your behalf upon request.
